Senior Management & Board of Directors
John Morgan - Chairman & Director
Mr. Morgan enjoyed a highly successful career as a senior executive with
Labatt Breweries for 20 years. As Vice President and General Manager, Mr.
Morgan managed each of the individual Labatt companies in Canada from
Ontario west. During that time, he was responsible for the introduction of
Budweiser into the Alberta marketplace. As President and Managing Director
of Labatt's Breweries of Europe, Mr. Morgan established a significant beer
business in Europe through strategic partnerships and acquisitions. As
President of Labatt's Breweries of Canada from 1990 to 1993, Mr. Morgan
led a company turnaround in Canada that saw both market share and profit
increase significantly.
A proven leader with both "start-up" and large company experience, Mr.
Morgan has been CEO of Versacold, Canada's largest cold storage service
provider and Cryopak
Industries Inc., a start-up temperature - controlling packaging business.
Mr. Morgan is currently a partner in the Springboard Group of Companies.
Brian Harris - CEO & Director
Mr. Harris is a co-founder of the Company with over 25 years experience
leading junior companies to raise capital, develop successful go-to-market
strategies, launch new products and services and compete successfully in
today's competitive marketplace.
Mr. Harris has considerable experience in the management of public
companies on the Canadian, United States and Australian Stock Exchanges.
Founder of EFTech Ltd. a leading supplier of Electronic Funds Transfer
services at the Point of Sale in Australia. Founder of Best Available
Seating Service Inc., a leading developer of computerized entertainment
ticketing systems and the predecessor to what is now known as
Ticketmaster. Mr. Harris was the founder and President of Target Group
Marketing Services Ltd. and Shoppers Voice Publications Ltd, at that time,
the largest selective sampling and controlled publications group in South
Africa and Australia.
He was an Executive with General Foods and Film Corporation of America.
Mr. Harris has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of
Alberta.
Andrew Harris - President, COO & Director
Andrew Harris, a co-founder of the Company, has over 15 years experience
in all facets of the food and beverage industry. Mr Harris was owner /
operator of two successful high profile casual restaurants in Vancouver.
He was the Director, Food, & Beverage of The Arts Club Theatre Company, a
non-profit organization with a number of theatres and restaurant
operations in Vancouver. As the Director of Operations for Rainforest
Café (NASDAQ:RAIN), Mr. Harris headed up the selection and training of
operations teams for the launch of the London, England and Hong Kong
markets. Mr. Harris has a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of
Witwatersrand, Republic of South
Africa.
Gary Liu - Controller
Gary Liu holds a BBA in accounting and IT. He has served as a director and an officer of several public companies over the past 10 years. Currently, he is serving on the boards of directors of Sun Entertainment Holding Corporation and Luxor Industrial Corporation. Mr. Liu has over 15 years experience in accounting, financial information systems integration, administrative and regulatory affairs with both public and private companies. Mr Liu is also the owner of Mt. Pacific Financial Corp., a consulting company providing accounting services to public companies.
Richard J. Shier - Director
Richard Shier has been involved in manufacturing companies since 1985 and
has extensive experience in building successful organizations. Most
recently, Mr. Shier was CEO/Director of Digital Payment Technologies
Corp., a manufacturer of automated parking payment stations and back
office software. Prior to this Mr. Shier contracted his services to many
technology firms requiring senior operational management. Currently Mr.
Shier is a partner in The Springboard Group which provides management
services and funding to growth companies. Mr. Shier is an excellent
representative for the Company to the outside world having served as
Chairman of the Technology Committee for BC's Children's Hospital. Mr.
Shier has extensive public speaking and investor presentation experience
associated with debt and equity fund-raising in both Europe and Canada.
Mr. Shier holds a Diploma in Business Management and Marketing from
Capilano College in North Vancouver, BC.
Tom Maroon - Director
Tom Maroon is President and Director of the Sinergy Restaurant Group Inc,
which owns and operates a number high profile restaurant properties in BC
including "Crime Lab", "Lucy Mae Brown", "Century Restaurant and Bar" and
"Fiction". Previously Mr. Maroon was a management consultant in the food
and beverage industry for 8 years.
Advisory Board
W. James (Jim) Emmerton is President of Intergon Ventures Inc.,
with over thirty years legal, finance, acquisitions and corporate
development experience. Mr. Emmerton was corporate counsel, Treasurer,
corporate Secretary, and VP General Counsel, of John Labatt Limited from
1976 to 1995, a Partner in Just Solutions, mediation and arbitration
1995-1997, and VP General Counsel and SVP Corporate Development of
Methanex Corporation from 1997 to 2004. Mr. Emmerton was also Director of
Canada Malting Company 1992 - 1994.
Larry Macauley is a senior executive with over thirty years
experience in all aspects of brewing and production. Most recently, Mr.
Macauley was Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer for
Interbrew in Leuwen, Belgium and prior to that was Vice President of
Brewery Operations for the Americas. He has worked in and managed
operations for all Labatt Breweries in Canada and participated and
provided technical support for merger and acquisition activities
throughout the world. An honours Chemistry graduate from the University of
Waterloo, Mr. Macauley has served on the "Boards" of breweries in Mexico
and Cuba and brings an international view to the Advisory Board.
Bob McKeachie is an independent consultant with the Marketing
Workshop in Vancouver Canada. He has a wide range of experience in beer
business with Labatt Breweries over 20 years in Canada and the UK. In
1996, Bob accepted the position of Vice President of Marketing for Earls
Restaurants. While at Earls, Bob helped create marketing programs that are
still in place today.
Allen Jensen is a senior sales executive with extensive experience
in the Western Canadian beer and alcohol business. Mr. Jensen spent 25
years in sales and sales management with Labatt Breweries of Canada,
primarily in Western Canada. He is particularly well known in the BC
Industry where he was Provincial Sales Manger for seven years. Currently
Mr. Jensen is a principal with Beverage Concepts International, an
importer of beverage alcohol products from around the world, and Iceflo
Technologies, a "leading - edge" draught equipment provider.
