Russell began the journey to forging the craft movement by making small-batch unpasteurized “Real Beer” with all-natural ingredients.
David vs. Goliath
It did not take long before Russell knew that it was time to challenge the “Goliaths” of the beer world, and we did so by making ultra-great tasting craft beer that was new, and fresh – unlike the typical beer you may find in your dad’s refrigerator.
Fast Forward 25 Years
Russell Brewing Company continues in its pioneering spirit; relentlessly forging a new path in the beer market. Last year we brewed and released over 30 craft beer flavours loved by all who were able to sneak a taste.
Mark was born and raised in southern Ontario. He moved to BC with his girlfriend 2 years ago. He has a Bachelor of Science from York University and a Diploma from KPU’s Brewing and Brewery Operations Program. When he isn’t brewing beer at Russell he spends his time hiking, playing and watching sports, and testing out new beer recipes at home.
Looking to connect with Mark?
You will most likely find him hitting up local tasting rooms sampling as many new beers as he can.
Graham started at Russell Brewing Co. in July 2018, but has been working in the industry for over 18 years. He has quickly fit in with the Russell Brewing team, and has expanded his collaborative efforts with peers and associates to take things to the next level. Along with his diploma in Craft Beer and Brewing, he has a degree in Biology! Both of these from Simon Fraser University. Although born and raised in Vancouver, Graham has lived all across western Canada in pursuit of his career.
What’s Graham Passionate About?
We’re glad you asked. Graham’s passions include golf, snowboarding, and camping; but don’t hesitate to track him down around the brewery for a drink! Cheers!
Rebecca began working at a local craft brewery in her hometown and immediately fell in love with the industry. She then decided to move across the country from the Maritimes to BC for the KPU brewing program (grad 2021). When Rebecca isn’t brewing at Russell, she is homebrewing unique concoctions, reading, and visiting as many breweries as she can.
Where might you find Rebecca?
We’re glad you asked. Exploring nature with her dog Wilbur.
